Context size = how much the model can remember at once. GPU layers = how much runs on the GPU; raise it for speed if you have the VRAM.

Compaction

Compact long chats

When ON, older messages are summarized so the model can keep up. When OFF, the full conversation is sent every turn (faster but hits a hard limit sooner).

Maximum chat size (characters)

Drops the oldest messages once the conversation exceeds this length. Only used when compaction is OFF.

Knowledge

Let KeSSie reference your documents and remember past chats.

Embeddings

Required for semantic search over knowledge bases and conversation recall. Off by default — turn it on when you're ready.
